Sturgeon Bay Honor Guard

Combined Fire & Police

The men and women of the Sturgeon Bay Honor Guard are proud to serve, honor and work in partnership to pay tribute to the men and women who have provided service to our communities and to those who have sacrificed their lives in the service of others. We have created this group to honor veterans, public service members, retired personnel, active and line of duty related deaths. In addition, we participate in many community events such as presenting colors in local parades, posting colors at local events and representing the City of Sturgeon Bay and the County of Door throughout the State and across the United States. All Honor Guard members are employees of the City of Sturgeon Bay; however the City does not fund our group functions, trainings or equipment, aside from our basic uniform and tools. Our members are not paid for their time; we do it because of our personal pride and dedication. The City of Sturgeon Bay and our respective departments stand behind our members, their goals and dedication. Our Honor Guard operates primarily on donations, self funding, and community support.  Our fund raising is to purchase and maintain the proper equipment required to fulfill our mission.
